Welcome to Cottonwood Elementary School
Rooted in the heart of a town rich in history, Cottonwood Elementary School stands as a beacon of learning and community spirit, embodying the legacy of the iconic cottonwood tree that inspired its name. CES, located in the historic town of Cottonwood, Alabama, reflects the community's rich heritage dating back to the 1840s. Founded shortly after the establishment of the town, the school has been an integral part of local development, following the opening of a general store and post office. Since its founding, Cottonwood High School has always been K-12, but in 2021, the school was divided into an elementary (K-6) and a high school (7-12). As Cottonwood has grown, so too has its commitment to education, fostering generations of students in a nurturing environment.
